I just heard about this as well. Sad, but I figured this was going to happen when he started to get worse again.

When the Phils won the world series, I made sure my TV was tuned to ABC. I wanted to hear what Gary Papa had to say and see his excitement.  Even when he was fighting his long and difficult battle with prostate cancer, he brought a true love to Philly sports.

He has not appeared on anyone’s list.
