Blues legend Koko Taylor dies at 80

I met her when I was working at the Spring Mountain Blues Festival years ago (it’s a ski mountain that I worked at for a winter in high school, and they asked us back to help run the festival in the summer).  After her set she came over to a group of us and signed our staff shirts.  I don’t particularly remember the music, but she was pretty cool.

She had not appeared on anyone’s list.
